KEYHOLDERS MEETING
July 21, 2002
Scribe Notes

Keyholders in Attendance:  Melissa Applegate, Jack and Mary Dodge,
LuAnn Heald, Margaret Lee, special guest Peggy Barton

Participants were welcomed by Tour Facilitator, Melissa Applegate.  Each person told a little bit about themselves and why they were drawn to the trip.
The theme of the tour "Celebrate Life" was explained as deriving out of the ancient Egyptians' reverence for life.  Although the common perception is that the Egyptians were fascinated with death, in fact, just the opposite is true as evidenced by the prolific depiction of the ankh, known as the Key of Life, in pyramid texts, art, and artifacts.  Click here for more information on the ankh.
Peggy Barton, a Keyholder from the Egypt tour of May of 1999, was introduced.  She shared highlights from the '99 trip and answered questions from new Keyholders about her experiences in Egypt.  A photo album of Egyptian landmarks and favorite moments shared amongst the '99 group was passed around.
An excerpt from a taped radio interview (6/15/02) with author Gregg Braden was presented.  Some highlights from the interview follow:

The interviewer, Lee Hanks from the Yalaha Foundation and Yalaha Village Project, introduced Gregg as a well-known author (The Isaiah Effect, Walking Between the Worlds, Awakening to Zero Point, Beyond Zero Point, The Lost Mode of Prayer), public speaker, and former scientist for Phillips Petroleum in the 70's and the aerospace program in the 90's.  Gregg indicated he was excited about appearing on the show and mentioned that he recently gave a talk to a group of high school students in which he said "We are living in a time like no other time."  The students scoffed and said that statement would be true no matter when it was stated.  Gregg laughingly agreed and clarified his statement by indicating that the magnetics of the earth are declining, the vibrational frequency of the earth is increasing, and "...for the first time in recorded history, the fate of the entire human species rests on the choices made by a single generation.  This is a nexus point; we have powers at our fingertips to change weather, genes, etcetera, and the question is, do we really understand the consequences of our choices?"

Lee Hanks responded that John Anthony West, an author and Egyptologist, had recently appeared on the show and it was Mr. West's contention that the ancient Egyptians, as well as other ancient cultures, possessed knowledge that we are just now on the brink of re-discovering.  Gregg concurred that, specifically, quantum physics was known in antiquity by the ancients.  He went on to state that only recently (2000 A.D.) our scientists discovered that all of creation is linked by a field of energy.  This energy appears to be every where, even where there seemingly is nothing, and it appears to have intelligent response to coherent emotion.  Scientists describe it as a tightly woven web that appears to be the fabric of creation itself.  Ancient Egyptian, Tibetan and Mayan texts, as well as the Nag Hamadi Gnostic texts, refer to it by various names including Indra's Web and the ether.  Furthermore, it appears that the ancients not only knew about  this field but how to apply it!

Gregg went on to state characteristics of this energy field:

1. The field exists.
2. We communicate with our world through this previously unknown field and our DNA.
3. Human emotion directly influences the DNA that is directly influencing our world.  When you put this information together, it describes a technology, an inner technology, that the ancient masters and avatars were trying to convey through the language and symbolism of that time.
4. When chemistry changes inside our bodies, it affects the world beyond our body on the quantum level and that is what brings about change.
5. This is now being documented in scientific labs.

This puts an entirely new twist on our understanding of the universe.  The universe is here and observations are being made because we're looking.  To put it simply, it is our consciousness that is actually creating the universe in a very dynamic mode; it is not that the universe was created and we appeared.  The universe is a function of human consciousness and as far as we can see into the deepest realms of inner stellar space, wherever we look, we'll see something because our consciousness is a part of what we're looking at!  Stephen Hawking and Einstein's theories and string theories are all blending together to suggest that we are participating in an unfolding universe.

We are an unlimited source of information and knowledge.  Before we can move into this galactic consciousness, however, we must survive our own exploration.  On both a very grand and a very personal scale, peace in body and between nations is linked through this field of consciousness.

Over the course of time, a tremendous amount of information has been "lost" through national and manmade disasters such as the great flood, editing of texts, the burning of the libraries at Alexandra, the conquest and near destruction of the Mayan civilization, and so on and so forth.  However, according to the ancients, the world around us is nothing more and nothing less than a mirror of what we have become from within that includes our thoughts, judgments, feelings, emotions, anger, hate, rage, bias, love, compassion, wisdom, understanding -- all mirrored in a substance that permeates all of creation.

Western science now calls this substance the Quantum Hologram.

If we choose to see a different world other than what we see on the 6:00 news and around us on a daily basis, that change comes about.  How you conduct yourself within, individually, and in relation to others, changes the course of human history.  Each thought pattern and emotion affects the whole planet.  It is only in the west that this is a foreign concept.  In small villages and in many places around the world, this is entrenched in the consciousness of the people.

Statistically, when a certain number of people get together and hold a specific emotion, then change occurs beyond coincidence that can be documented and measured.  For example, groups meditating on peace have statistically reduced the rate of accidents and crime in certain cities during controlled scientific studies.  Experiments in 80's were performed by the Institute for Conflict Resolution and the Maharishi Institute.  Gregg also gave the example of a global peace movement in which hundreds of thousands of people participated from 84 countries.  The peace vigil was held on the historic eve that President Clinton gave the order for war planes to bomb Baghdad in Iraq.  The New York Times and Chicago Tribune reported the following morning that the President mysteriously issued a "stand down order" with only minutes to spare recalling the planes that were about to bomb Iraq.  This was totally inexplicable to political analysts but not at all surprising to those who participated in the peace vigil.  In that moment, there simply was no place for any reality other than peace due to the coherent emotion of peace projected through the Quantum Hologram.

Quantum physics suggests that none of our worst fears or prophecies need ever come to pass.  Vertical Time says that within every moment are many, many possibilities ranging from the lightest of the Light to the darkest of the dark hovering as potential blueprints in the Quantum Hologram.  The question is, what is it that we must do to awaken the blueprint of peace and healing for ourselves and the world???

Gregg states the answer is simple:

Honor the principle of life, honor the lives of the people around you, and as you change the way you live your life, you change the future, as well.

A mantra and visualization practice was suggested for all Keyholders to recite on a daily basis to unify and strengthen our group in universal love and compassion.  Click here for more details.

The meeting convened in order to enjoy a smorgasbord of homemade culinary delights brought by each attending Keyholder to begin the serious and rigorous discipline of unbridled, guiltless consumption of food, beverage and fun essential for our travels in Egypt in February '03.
