Each bracelet is personally hand-made by Melissa Applegate. All of the elements and colors are carefully selected according to feng shui principles of Tibetan Black Hat Five Element Theory. Once the bracelet is strung, it is energetically cleared and charged utilizing a method taught to Melissa by crystallographer and scientist Dr. Marcel Vogel.

Three individual mantras are recited many times in order to properly bless each bracelet. The first mantra spiritually activates the bracelet in a manner similar to a rosary or mala. The second mantra -- Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hum, the mantra associated with the Buddha Avalokiteshavara -- is recited no less than 108 times in order to generate qualities of compassion and wisdom for its wearer and anyone in close proximity. A third mantra is recited that multiplies these qualities by 100,000 times. Next, the bracelet is gently wiped with a mild soap made of fragrant flowers and auspicious plants grown in Tibet to remove any body oils or fingerprints from the crystals; and finally, it is lightly censed with Tibetan Loseling Gold, hand-made incense by Tibetan monks from Drepung Monastery in India according to formulas found in ancient Tibetan Buddhist scriptures.
