We began our spiritual
journey with a lifetime of experience and a short 15 minute walk from the hotel.
Along the way we saw birds, butterflies, crickets,
spiders, trees, wild flowers, and cacti; we heard the San Juan River; we felt the
wind and the sun, and the earth beneath our feet. |
As initiates, we took
a big "leap of faith" in the tradition of the ancient Toltec adepts who shamanically flew from the Adosada Platform to the Feathered Serpent
Pyramid. Those who failed landed in this watery pit.
Fortunately for us, we were not required to jump ... this time.
